Game Rules And Principles

Rules of our game are pretty simple, but there is not an easy task to play. How this could happen? It is easy to start playing — just follow step-by-step guide, to sign-up and start playing. But the game task itself is not that easy — you are required to imagine yourself in described future and handle it, returning back with a piece of unknown: with artifact, forecast or — most precious — your personal story about things could happen to you in future.

We have provided you with some game materials to help your imagination, and with this website — to share your stories with other players, writing them down as game cards of different kinds.

Every game needs a score table

Everything created by players is published on this websites as “gamecards” — pieces of text often with some color tag. You will create gamecards during your play, you will gain experience (xp), skill points and achievement medals.

You are gaining 2 XP for each gamecard you create. When other players will publish replies on your card, you will score 1 XP more for each reply received.

You will have an XP limit for each game rank — when you reach that limit, you will be granted with new rank and limit will be reset. It is easy to gain first game ranks, but on higher levels limits are very high too. Here some kind of a rank table:

  1. shadow (this player has done nothing yet)
  2. novice (first steps are made)
  3. scout (player is accomodating)
  4. colonist (player acts with grace)
  5. resident (player almost lives here)
  6. aborigene (player contributed a lot to name this place home)
  7. shaman (player leads the game and other players)
  8. demiurg (it seems that this player was the creator of the game)

You are gaining XP for all cards created. Moreover, creating gamecards of a certain kind you will improve one of your skills. Reaching some levels on that skill you will receive additional rewards. Even more, you can acquire achievement medals for being involved in something remarkable.

You can use achievement and skill pages to find other players having similar achievements.

Game principles

Hunting achievements do not forget about the meaning of our game — we are investigating possible futures, helping each other to touch them.

Please keep in mind following principles.

Mutual Respect — treat cards made by other players as well as you treat yours. Always assume they are about something important and valueable — that will allow you to uncover something unexpected. Treat any gamecard as a chance of discovering an answer.

Vivid Dialogue — is the best thing you can do here, — to help with development of someone’s idea, guide discussion in a more direct way. Try finding something to contribute to each gamecard you see.

Dream on! — try set you free from any limitations — of current technologies, people minds, culture stereotypes. Draw an ideal picture, tell a perfect story.

Leave it — take a side look on cards you’ve created. It is good if there would be a plenty of replies, even if people’ll find a dozen of problems in your idea — be grateful. Write a better version, that fixes some of problems. Stuck with a problem? Convert it into a question.

Stay on topic — while dreaming and discussing. Try to keep topics of the gam in mind while creating gamecards. Organizers work as moderators, hiding inappropriate cards — help them by flagging such cards if you notice them.

Make pauses — read all cards you are intereseted in and go for a walk. Then return to the game and write down all ideas came to your mind during your walk. You can find back interestings cards easily if you’ve added them into your deck. Use your deck!

Stuck with the problem? Write a question! Sometimes it is easy to start with the question. May be after a walk you’ll have an answer for it. There is no need in “perfect answer”, we need just to start.

To make our game successful and fun we need just to start.

So if you are ready — follow step-by-step guide!
